Applies while AccessiLume is in public beta
In short
- AccessiLume is free to use during the public beta.
- We do not collect payment details. There is no checkout.
- No paid plan will ever start automatically.
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any paid plan begins.
1. What the beta costs
Nothing. AccessiLume is free to use for the duration of the public beta, which will run at least until late December 2026.
We do not ask for payment details, we do not store card information, and there is no checkout in the product. You cannot be charged during the beta, whether by accident or otherwise.
Prices shown on our pricing page describe plans we intend to offer after the beta. They are indicative, may change before launch, and are not an offer you can currently accept.
2. What happens when the beta ends
Your account will not roll over into a paid plan. If we introduce paid plans, we will contact you at the address on your account at least 30 days beforehand, and you will need to actively choose a plan for anything to be charged.
If you choose not to continue, your data stays yours: you can export your reports and delete your account at any time.
Some allowances available during the beta may differ from those on our paid plans. We will set out what changes in the notice we send.
3. Beta allowances
Beta accounts have capped usage so that the scanner stays responsive for everyone testing it. At present each account may use:
- 30 scans per day
- 25 PDF reports per day
- 300 saved scans
- 3 domains
- 25 monitored pages (up to 15 on any one domain)
- 150 crawled pages per day
We may adjust these limits during the beta as we learn how the service is used.
4. What our results do and do not mean
AccessiLume runs automated accessibility checks based on axe-core against the WCAG success criteria. Automated testing of this kind detects about 30–60% of accessibility issues. The rest require manual review: many success criteria depend on human judgement and cannot be evaluated by any automated tool.
A passing score does not establish legal compliance with WCAG, the European Accessibility Act, the Web Accessibility Directive, the ADA, or any other law or standard. Our scores, risk indicators and reports are diagnostic aids intended to help you find and prioritise problems. They are not a certification, an audit, or legal advice.
You should treat our output as a starting point, combine it with manual testing and testing with assistive technology, and take professional advice where compliance obligations apply to you.
5. Availability during the beta
Beta software is work in progress. The service may be interrupted, features may change or be withdrawn, and scans may occasionally fail. We do not offer a service level guarantee during the beta.
We take reasonable care to keep your data safe, but we recommend exporting anything you would not want to lose.
6. Your data
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy, which applies in full during the beta. Being free does not reduce your rights under the GDPR: you can access, export, correct and delete your data at any time.
7. Feedback
Beta feedback is genuinely useful to us, and reporting a problem never puts your account at risk. If something is broken, confusing or wrong, tell us at support@accessishield.com.
